International Students Meet UIN Jambi Vice Rector II to Discuss Budget and Facilities

Jambi — The International Student Association (PMI) held an academic courtesy visit to Vice Rector II of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi on Monday (June 8, 2026). The meeting took place at the Vice Rector II’s office and was attended by campus leaders and PMI representatives.

Present at the meeting were Dr. Pahmi, Vice Rector II; Dion Ginanto, Coordinator of PLKI; Hisyam Mustafa, PMI Chair for 2025/2026; and Adam Hakimi bin Mohd Hanafiah, the newly elected PMI Chair for 2026/2027.

The agenda focused on three key issues: the budget for PMI’s upcoming term, facilities for the International Student Center, and logistics and venue preparation for Sukan Jambi 2026.

Vice Rector II Dr. Pahmi emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting international students. “International students are the face of campus internationalization. They must receive special services. We will strive to meet the needs of the International Student Center and support PLKI’s cultural trip program,” he said.

He further noted, “Whatever is needed for international student activities should be communicated directly with the leadership.”

Dr. Pahmi also confirmed that UIN Jambi will facilitate the sports venue for Sukan Jambi 2026, scheduled for next week. “The event will also be attended by the Education Attaché from the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta,” he added.

The meeting served as both a courtesy call by the newly elected PMI Chair and an opportunity to present the organization’s activity plans, aiming to secure moral and material support from the university leadership.
