Pursuing Internationalization Targets, UIN Jambi’s PLKI and Faculty of Adab Strengthen Accreditation Portfolios

The International Services Center (PLKI) of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi held an academic gathering with the leadership of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

The semi-formal meeting, which took place in the Dean’s Office, focused on discussing the follow-up of international partnerships as well as strengthening the faculty’s accreditation portfolios (borang).

This strategic step was taken as a solution to evaluate the communication between the faculty and the international office, which had previously been deemed less than optimal. With an increasing number of international Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the university, the presence of “local champions” at the faculty level has become crucial to ensure these commitments are genuinely realized.

Fulfilling International Accreditation Demands

The Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Dian Mursyidah, M.Ag., expressed that collaboration with PLKI is urgent, particularly in fulfilling accreditation assessment indicators that now demand global-level engagement.

“We highly need PLKI’s assistance to fulfill the accreditation portfolio requirements, especially regarding international research and community service cooperation,” Dian said.

Responding to this, the Coordinator of PLKI UIN STS Jambi, Dion Eprijum Ginanto, Ph.D., stated his administration’s full readiness to assist throughout the process leading up to the field assessment.

“Insha Allah, we are ready to help ensure the success of the field accreditation agenda in the faculty, especially to meet the requirements for international research and community service cooperation,” Dion stated.

Three Main Collaboration Points

During the meeting, both parties agreed on three main agendas to be executed immediately to achieve the campus’s internationalization targets:

  1. Partnership Evaluation and Projection: Mapping out and following up on various international collaborations that have already been established or are planned for the future.
  2. Accreditation Document Compilation: Integrating international research and community service cooperation documents so they are ready for accreditation purposes.
  3. Joint Program Planning: Designing collaborative activities involving the Faculty of Adab and Humanities and PLKI-LPPM UIN STS Jambi in the near future.

Through this closer synergy, it is hoped that the global commitments held by UIN STS Jambi will no longer just be documents at the rectorate level, but can be tangibly implemented by lecturers and students at the faculty level.
